Our work

Two initiatives, one idea: build people and the places they come from — with evidence at every step.

IM Skilling

Meeting India's Makers. We train unemployed youth and working people from village and tribal communities in high-demand trades — practical, hands-on training delivered where people are, not where buildings happen to be.

The model is deliberately asset-light: qualified trainers are engaged per batch, venues are hired locally, and a small central team runs quality, records and certification. No training centres to maintain means more of every rupee reaches training itself.

Every candidate's journey is recorded — enrolment, attendance, assessment — and every certificate we issue is digitally verifiable, so an employer or funder can check any claim independently.

IM Conserving

Our first conservation commitment is the Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple at Rangasthala, Chikkaballapur — a sacred landscape of Hoysala–Vijayanagara architecture with a rare 24-sided Chakra Tirtha stepwell.

Under the Government of Karnataka's Namma Smaraka "Adopt a Monument" scheme, IM Nirmaan Foundation is a co-adopter and CSR patron of the restoration, committing ₹1.5 crore — in partnership with the Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage, alongside co-adopter Discovery Village LLP, with execution by Culkey Foundation under the Department's supervision.

The work is phased and ongoing: reviving the stepwell's historic water system, conserving stonework, developing the landscape and visitor amenities — with quarterly progress reporting throughout.
